IC Speaks poets perform as a part of 2026 Emerging Artists: Teen Poetry at the Des Moines Art Festival.

IC Speaks is having a Dine Out night at Hudson's Southside Tap (482 Highway 1, Iowa City). A percentage of all sales after 4pm will go directly to IC Speaks. 

So gather your family & friends and treat yourself to a delicious dinner at Hudson's and support IC Speaks at the same time! Why not do something that benefits local youth, local business, and your growling stomach?

IC Speaks Slam Team—Jen Tran, Ellie Medea-Kapp, Ta'Kya Washington, and Noah Goupell—will be taking the stage with with the renowned Blake Shaw Trio as a part of the Englert Theatre’s Northside series.

Students from all around the ICCSD will gather and share their poems in a fun and competitive show!
